Preparing God’s Temple for Flu Season

With flu season right around the corner it has become apparent that more and more people want to prepare their bodies for the upcoming battles. Whether it is the common cold, the regular flu, or the H1N1 swine flu, or others, we can prepare our bodies this season by eating the right foods and taking certain supplements.

Foods that heal and protect:

Fish – (Not fried) provides Omega 3 fatty acids
Green Veggies – Vitamins, Minerals, Isoflavones, Fiber
Nuts & Seeds – Vitamins, Minerals, Fiber, Omega 6 & 9 fatty acids
Fresh Fruits – Vitamins, Minerals, Phytonutrients (especially dark fruits)

Foods to Avoid:

Fried Foods – Saturated fats, Cholesterol
Carbonated Drinks – Chemicals, Sugar and or Aspartame
Pork and Excessive Red Meat – Cholesterol, Slows digestion and processing
White Processed Foods & Sugar – Feeds disease and elevates blood sugar
Artificial Sweeteners – Many known side effects, and many being researched

Now that we have covered some foods that help and hurt, let us look at a small list of supplements that can taken to help.

Maintenance Program:

Immuno Shield – (Irwin Naturals) 1 capsule 2 times daily
ACF – 2 tablespoons daily in grape, acai, or mangosteen juice
Sovereign Silver – 1 teaspoon daily

Early Onset of Symptoms:

ACF – 2 tablespoons 3 times daily
Sovereign Silver – 2 teaspoon 3 times daily
Oregano Oil – 4 drops 3 times daily
Oscillococcinum – Dissolve one tablet under tongue every 6 hours between other supplement doses
